A total of one hundred twenty (120) semester credits are required for the conferral of the BSN degree.
The BSN Program consists of seventy-two (72) semester credits of nursing core coursework. In addition, the completion of the BSN degree requires forty-eight (48) semester credits of general education.
The blended-distance curriculum consists of seventy-two (72) semester credits of nursing core coursework. The BSN Program requires an additional forty-eight (48) semester credits of general education coursework. A total of one hundred twenty (120) semester credits is required for graduation.
The Program is designed to be completed within eight (8) academic semesters. However, it may take longer to complete if learners elect to take GE courses at institutions of higher learning that require prerequisites to the program’s mandatory GE coursework.
Learners in the BSN Program will learn disease management, treatment, and prevention as well as promotion of health from the standpoint of nursing. The curriculum is specifically constructed to promote career mobility in nursing. The curriculum in the BSN Program is concept based instead of content based. Learners will apply concepts to a variety of systems and disease processes, and critically reason through situations by concept.
Note: Prerequisites are defined as courses that must be completed prior to enrollment into the given course. Corequisites are defined as courses that must be completed either prior to or concurrently with the given course.
Our program can be completed in as few as 32 months or 8 semesters if the required General Education (GE) courses have not been completed. The BSN Program also grants advanced placement for qualified LPNs and a BMTC-BSN track.
Learners who have not completed any general education requirements and elect to complete all GE coursework at the College can complete the program within eight (8) semesters. Nightingale College’s BSN Program has three start dates per year that enroll in the spring, summer, and fall semesters.
Note: Supervised on-ground field experience (SOFE) rotations take place in various locations across the country. If a learner who is participating in SOFE rotations in a certain area subsequently moves outside the area, or to another area, the learner may not be allowed to continue SOFE rotations in that area and may be required to participate in rotations in another area, or transition to the remote track option. Learners must notify the BSN Program immediately upon deciding to relocate.
According to the grading system and grading scale, a passing grade of at least “C” or higher is required in all courses. Completion of all learning activities, as prescribed by a course syllabus, including assignments, quizzes, and remediation, is required to pass the course. Failure to complete any required learning activity will result in a failure of a course. Any course with a failing grade must be repeated before progressing in the academic program.

Terms and Conditions: Utah Tuition Reduction Credit
Effective Summer Semester 2026
Nightingale College is piloting a tuition reduction of $205 per credit hour (up to $24,600 for 120 eligible credits) for Utah residents, subject to annual review and continued approval by the College. This reduction reflects the College’s commitment to expanding access to nursing education in the state of Utah.
To qualify for the Utah Tuition Reduction Credit, Utah learners must meet the following criteria:
• Residency: Beginning with Summer Semester 2026, provide documented proof of Utah residency for at least twelve (12) consecutive months prior to the start of the semester. Documentation proving residency will be reviewed and verified by the College.
• Enrollment: Be enrolled in the BSN program as of Summer Semester 2026.
• Continuous Enrollment: Maintain continuous enrollment from Summer Semester 2026 until completion of the BSN program, except for College-approved accommodations under applicable federal law.
Eligibility will be determined and verified in accordance with institutional policy by a learning funding advisor. Learners may request a review if eligibility is denied.
This section applies to learners who begin their BSN program, or their foundational course work in preparation for their BSN program, in Summer Semester 2026:
• The Utah Tuition Reduction Credit will be applied each semester from the start of the BSN program until completion, provided eligibility is maintained.
• Learners must remain continuously enrolled to retain the reduction. Summer Semester 2026 foundational learners must be enrolled in the BSN program by Fall Semester 2026 to qualify for the tuition reduction.
• This pilot program is not guaranteed to continue beyond the initial implementation period. Future continuation will depend on institutional review of program outcomes and strategic alignment and will NOT affect current learner eligibility once established.
This section applies to learners who are already enrolled in the BSN program prior to Summer Semester 2026:
• The Utah Tuition Reduction Credit will be applied beginning in Summer Semester 2026 and will continue through the remainder of the learner’s program, provided eligibility is maintained.
• Courses completed prior to Summer Semester 2026 are not retroactively eligible for the reduction.
• Learner Graduation Fund awards previously earned for credits completed before Summer Semester 2026 will remain unaffected. Learners who receive the Utah Tuition Reduction Credit for specific credits will not also receive a Learner Graduation Fund award for those same credits upon program completion.
• Program Fees: The reduction credit does not apply to program fees or other nontuition costs. This reduction does not alter a learner’s federal financial aid eligibility, cost of attendance (COA), or refund calculations under Title IV regulations.
• Short-term Re-Entries (STREs): Utah learners who re-enter the BSN program in Summer Semester 2026 and meet all eligibility criteria are eligible for the reduction provided all other conditions are met.
• Scholarships: Learners may not combine this institutional reduction with other internal scholarships, waivers, or SOFE partner tuition benefits. External scholarships or third-party awards remain unaffected.
